Wellington Law Revue

Much Ado About Money
(and Cycle Lanes)

The Wellington Law Revue is proud to present our anticipated 2025 production - Much Ado About Money (and Cycle Lanes)

With the local elections looming, the Wellington City Council is divided. The National-led government wants to intervene, appointing none other than the Monopoly Man (Yes the one from the board game!) to the job of fixing the Council. What they didn’t see coming is that this money-grubbing billionaire has his own personal agenda: money, money, money.

Meanwhile, four flatmates are stunned to find a new Mega Cycle Lane has been built through their front garden. Trying to get to the bottom of this, the flatmates unravel a sinister conspiracy that leads back to one man...

The Monopoly Man!

Can our heroes bankrupt our villain on the Monopoly board and beat him at his own game? Find out at the 2025 production of the Wellington Law Revue: Much Ado About Money (and Cycle Lanes).

Who We Are

A UNIQUE WELLINGTON EXPERIENCE

The Wellington Law Revue is an annual satirical stage show run entirely by volunteers and driven by the passion of talented young students and graduates. We work together to write and perform a full-length show every September. Our cast pull together a theatrical experience in just nine weeks, including musical numbers and skits written throughout the course of the show.

The Wellington Law Revue has been resilient during COVID-19 by putting on a movie in 2020 and committing to a socially distanced live show in 2021. Our 2022 production was a raunchy return to the classic theatrical experience, and 2025 is shaping up to be our most spectacular show to date.

2025 marks our 122nd annual show, with the original Wellington student capping show in 1903 marking the first. The 2025 production is hitting the stage on the 11th of September for three nights of thrills and laughs.
